Randy Bell
Associate Professor, Science Education
Randy teaches courses in secondary science methods, educational technology
for science and mathematics teachers, and science education research.
Additionally, Randy coordinates the secondary science teacher education
program at the Curry School. Randy's interests in science education
include research related to nature of science instruction and learning,
as well as finding and developing compelling cases in which technology
can be used to enhance science education methods classes. Randy and
his graduate students are currently researching the use of computer projectors for increasing classroom access to technology for learning science. He has also published research recently on the use of virtual planetarium software to improve learning of astronomy concepts.
