Educational Technology Policy

The Center is active in both National and State educational technology policy. The Center's national level policy activities include participation in an invitational conference on Technology and Teacher Education jointly sponsored by the White House and the US Department of Education, development of advisory principles and suggested actions for this conference, implementation of technology policy strands at international conferences and representation on the NCATE Task Force on Technology and Teacher Education.

The Center's state level policy activities include evaluation of mandated technology training pilot initiatives, development of technology standards for inservice and preservice teachers, development of technology guidelines for teacher preparation programs and implementation of state-wide technology training efforts.
