Rebekah Annis is a recent graduate of the BA/MT mathematics education program at the University of Virginia.  She is certified to teach secondary mathematics, as well as special education.  In the fall, she plans to teach in the Northern Virginia area.  She is a member of the Black Voices and enjoys hatching quail eggs.

Matt Blundin is a K-12 teacher at Monticello High School in Albemarle County, Virginia.  He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1992 with his Bachelor of Arts in mathematics.  He is currently finishing his Master of Teaching degree.  He coaches the Monticello Mustangs in football. Go Mustangs!  He enjoys spending time with his wife Amy and two sons, Ethan and Cole.

Eric Greiling is a recent graduate of the BA/MT mathematics education program at the University of Virginia.  In the fall, he plans to teach secondary mathematics in the Northern Virginia area.  He enjoys playing his trombone in Virginia’s Pep Band.  Go Hoos!

Ginger Layman is a recent graduate of the BA/MT mathematics education program at the University of Virginia.  In June, she plans to work at the State Farm Regional Office as an underwriter.  She enjoys playing with her dog Hampton. Woof!

Amy Roussy is a recent graduate of the BA/MT mathematics education program at the University of Virginia.  In the fall, she plans to teach secondary mathematics in the Richmond, Virginia area.  She loves to spend time with her two kittens, Shiloh and Yo.  Meow!

Shannon Shirack is a graduate student at the University of Virginia working on her doctorate in mathematics education. She is interested in exploring how teachers teach calculus, especially the concept of the derivative. 

Suzanne Harper is a graduate student at the University of Virginia working on her doctorate in mathematics education. She finishing up her qualifying exams before starting her dissertation on the mathematics preparation of elementary school teachers.

Maria Timmerman is an assistant professor of mathematics education in the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia.  She teaches elementary methods courses, the secondary field projects, and a graduate seminar class. Her research interests include the teaching of mathematics with technology, teacher change, and children's understanding of mathematics.
