DAY 1: PROBABILITY                        DAY 2: GENETICS                    DAY 3: EXTENSIONS

PROCEDURE

This unit is divided up into three days.  The first day should be devoted to the understanding of the principals of probability via interactive programs provided on this site.   All students learn differently, therefore, we must present the material in a diverse manner.  The second day will be focused on the use of probability in  genetics.  The final day is designed for extension explorations in pertinent areas of sociology, economics and ethics: our human condition.

The student should always keep in mind that he or she is going to apply their newly gain knowledge in a creative and informed manner on day three.  They will be asked to do an independent research project of their own choice.  Three topics are provided, but the student's interests and personal history may influence them into another direction.
