The ease of acquiring and processing digital images far outweigh the time and money required to process standard 35mm film. Today digital images can easily be downloaded to a computer, edited, manipulated and integrated into multimedia presentations and web pages. These technologies allow students to create rich accounts of their experiences and process ideas in ways that generate meaningful and useful learning resources.
