Creating the PowerPoint Presentation

After taking all your photos, download them to a computer and begin to create your PowerPoint slideshow. Using your storyboard as a guide, try to use creative presentation techniques to communicate effectively your safety message. For example, text and drawing elements (like arrows or circles) can be added to the digital images to highlight key safety concepts.

For more examples of creative ideas for your PowerPoint, see the Safety Presentation created by a group of our preservice secondary science teachers.

Modifications:

Other classroom activities that lend themselves to the PowerPoint slide show format include documenting a field trip, integrating a collection of insects or wildflowers images into a classification key, producing a pictorial history illustrating the various stages of a dissection, or creating a visual set of directions for a titration procedure.
