Discussion

A few preferences must be set on your news reader prior to subscribing to the discussion group. User guides have been provided for you for the two most popular news readers, Netscape Collabra and Outlook Express. If you will be using Netscape Collabra to use the discussion group, click on the Netscape link to learn how to set the preferences. If you will be using Outlook Express, click on Outlook.

Please note: the user guides are specific to the University of Virginia. If you are accessing the discussion group from another site, please consult your newsgroups administrator to get the name of your NNTP server (i.e. news server). The steps will be the same, but an item or two will be different.

Once you have these preferences set you will be ready to read and post messages to the discussion group.
