Exploring the Relationship between Government Policy and Children

Grades 10-12:

 Teacher assessment should evaluate student presentations on inclusion of Web site information and clarity of the topic’s presentation.  Assessment should follow rubric that students can access online so that they can be sure they have included the necessary elements. Each presentation should contain at least 5 slides and should be centered on a topic that is available on the Web site.  Each presentation should contain an explanation of the topic using at least 3 visuals from the site and at least 1 page of text from the site.  Topics should focus on the relationship between how government policy has affected children’s lives in relation to the topic. Concluding remarks in the presentation should include possible solutions to the problems surrounding the group’s topic.  (Rubric)
