Former Governor of Virginia

Charles S Robb was born in 1939 in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1961 he received a bachelor's degree from Wisconsin. IN 1973 he got a law degree from the University of Virginia. from 1961 to 1971 he was a Marine and received recognition for bravery in the Vietnam War. In 1969 he met Lynda Bird Johnson, daughter of Lyndon B. Johnson. IN 1982 he was elected Virginia's 64th governor. He ended his term in 1986. Two years later in 1988 he was elected to the United Sates Senate with the largest total number of votes in Virginia history. He has three daughter who have either attended or are attending college. He was one of the most successful and popular governors of Virginia.
