Assessment

Tell the class it is now their turn to write a description of events or activities in the Reflector. They are to go to the African American photographs section of the Holsinger Studio Collection.

The students need to look through these pictures and choose one that they think represents someone who would have been written about in the Reflector. The students can then print out this image and write 3 to 4 sentences to go along with it. The sentences should tell who the person/ people is/are and what event they have recently participated in or what of interest has recently happened in their life. They should use the Society Notes from the Reflector as a model and their chart information for ideas on what the people may have been doing.
