VIEWING:
To run the show, click on the screen icon in the bottom left corner or choose VIEW SHOW from the SLIDE SHOW menu or select the projector icon in the bottom left corner. You use a mouse click to advance slides. If you need to end the show at any time, by clicking on the arrow image at the bottom left corner, you will be given various options that pertain to viewing the show one of which is END SHOW. From this same menu, you can find your way to one particular slide if you need to go out of order for some reason; you can also hide your arrow or choose to make your pointer a highlighter to emphasize a point.
Microsoft offers some good general tips on presenting. These can be found under the TOOLS menu if you select POWER POINT CENTRAL and click to Dale Carnegie's 4 P's of Presenting.
PACK AND GO:
Power Point offers an excellent feature that allows you to save your presentation in a format which can be run on another computer that might not have the fonts and graphic display capabilities you used or even the Power Point program itself. Choose PACK AND GO from the FILE menu. The Wizard will prompt you easily from there. Power Point presentations are usually quite bulky files so a zip disk is suggested.
SAVE AS HTML:
Your presentation can be saved as HTML which will translate your presentation to be read on the web. Simply choose SAVE AS HTML from the FILE menu, and the Wizard will prompt you through the process. Once it is saved, you can then transfer your presentation to the web, and you will not have to worry about disk storage or compatibility.
Otherwise, you can save normally as you would in any other Microsoft software program, e.g. choose SAVE from the FILE menu.
