Professional Organizations

International Society for Technology in Education - the largest teacher-based nonprofit organization in the field of educational technology.
National Council for the Social Studies - a professional organization for social studies educators.
Organization of American Historians - professional organization devoted to the investigation, study, and teaching of the American past.
Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education - an international association of individual teacher educators, who are interested in the creation and dissemination of knowledge about the use of information technology in teacher education.

ERIC Clearinghouse for Teaching and Teacher Education - a federally funded, nationwide information network designed to provide you with ready access to education literature.
